Upon removing the canvas from the stretchers—I would have never noticed it otherwise—I saw this large glob of pine sap emitting from the wood, and it was directly up against the raw canvas.

Would polyester canvas need to be saturated with tap water, as in the case of the linen, after stretching?

I am going to be preparing a large canvas support using polyester canvas. According to the Sizing and Ground course on the Webinar, the recommendation for canvas is: 1 coat GAC 400 (to stiffen fabric), then 2 coats GAC 100, then 2 coats oil ground.
